After learning back in October that Apple TV+ will be the new home of Charlie Brown and his Peanuts kinfolk, the nascent streamer has shared its first trailer for The Snoopy Show. Centered around the imaginative beagle and featuring everyone from Charlie Brown to Lucy, Linus, and Peppermint Patty, the half-hour series was designed specifically for kids ages 4 to 11.
Nostalgic parents who grew up on the cartoon will be pleased to see that Charles M. Schulz’s animation style hasn’t been bubbled up like it was in 2015, though it is definitely cleaner than the franchise’s ‘60s classics. Episodes consist of three, 7-minute cartoons based on the comics, and the below trailer teases the dog’s myriad of alter egos, from his World War I Flying Ace to the Masked Marvel. (You can also expect plenty of dance parties.)
The Snoopy Show’s first six episodes begin airing on Apple TV+ on February 5.

What about Freedie Fabulous from Fremont?
I hope we get to see the whole classic gang – Patty, Violet, Shermy, 5, Eudora, Rerun.
I’m such a Peanuts nerd that I actually know who all those characters are except Eudora.
Eudora was a kid in Sally’s class who was kind of like a more laid-back Peppermint Patty. Mostly in the 80s.https://peanuts.fandom.com/wiki/Eudora
Eudora was also the only one on the list that I didn’t recognize. I wonder why she disappeared from the strip after 1987? From the looks of her, my guess is that her parents found a joint in her room and sent her to boarding school.
I don’t know 5 or Eudora.
5 was a kid whose parents gave their children numbers instead of names as some kind of protest against modern society, or something like that. There was a brief run in the comics featuring him until Schultz probably felt he’d played the idea out. Afterwards, you occasionally see 5 used to fill in the background with random kids, but he never really had much of a speaking role again.
5 is worth remembering if only as the best dancer in the Christmas special:
Eudora was an e-mail client popular in the 1990s.
And who can forget their dad, Tom Bosley.
Let’s not forget those lovable Beagle scouts Conrad, Harriet, Oliver and fan favorite Bill!
Truffles or GTFOAlso, I hope they find a way to adapt the “Thompson is in trouble” storyline
Weird coincidence: I’ve been slowly reading through my Complete Peanuts volumes for the past decade or so, and I hit Truffles’ first appearance *this morning.*
And then there’s Fentruck, Mortimer, The Overlord, Roberta, Second Roberta, Big Fat Lars, Mr. Fudge, Steampunk Steve, The Twins, Academy Award Winner Marisa Tomei, Moses, Admiral Linda, Netflix Presents The Entire Cast of Big Mouth, Dark Snoopy, and the bullies from the movie where Charlie Brown goes to camp. But that’s not including the DLC characters.
That looks delightful.I can’t wait to pirate it Fuck Apple TV+
So close to a haiku I can’t tell if it was meant to be a haiku or not
you just wrote a little poem of your own, you silly goose you.
It wasn’t but maybe my inner samurai was trying to break out
Peanuts: Into the Snoopy-Verse
Other than the music that looked strangely not awful.
Other than the music and Flash Beagle, I’ll add…
And you know, the specials themselves really weren’t all that good after the early 70s. Even Charlie Brown Thanksgiving is coasting largely on charm. Christmas, Halloween and the first two movies are unquestionably great though.
I would agree with that. Even the comic strip while still good after the mid 70s really tapers off and loses a lot of its edge. 55-75 or so span being the really hot period of the strip.
The 7-minute format sounds like a great idea.
How about that Charlie Brown that doesn’t seem even slightly depressive.
Well they do show him failing repeatedly. Since its a Snoopy centric (shocking) trailer I’d give it the benefit of the doubt a little on them going full on beaten down Charlie Brown. Of course if they never hit that beat in the show it is essentially not right.
Not enough Joe Cool
Disney should buy Apple, and then eat said apple in question.
Are you talking about the Beatles’ record company? You need to say “Apple Computers” or we’ll all assume you’re talking about Apple.
That’s what he said…THIRD BASE!!!
We like Nilsson.
Call me old, but I don’t think I can watch a Peanuts cartoon that isn’t focused on Charlie Brown’s angst backed by melancholy piano jazz.
