Although she’s currently engaged in a Feud with Jessica Lange, Susan Sarandon’s already booked her next TV gig. Deadline reports the erstwhile Bette Davis has signed on for a recurring role on Showtime’s Ray Donovan. She’ll very much stay in the movie business, though, playing a studio head by the name of Samantha Winslow in season five. The character will presumably have some work for Ray the fixer to do, but those details are still developing. For now, we know Samantha will have a season-long presence, and she’s described as “strong” and “focused.” Sounds like she’ll make a great boss—or adversary—for the titular character played by Liev Schreiber.
Ray Donovan season five will premiere on Showtime sometime this summer.
