Teti’s Mom contends with robo-phobia in her review of Westworld

Aux Features TV

In Mom On Pop, Bonney Teti—mother of A.V. Club editor-at-large John Teti—shares her unfiltered thoughts on the pop culture of the day.

It has been a while since we recorded a Mom On Pop podcast, but after a couple of false starts, we finally got on the phone to talk about HBO’s new fall drama series, Westworld. While Mom says that the show is “very well done,” she can’t get past her disquieting sensation that all those Wild West robots might go on the fritz at any moment. And that’s exactly how the makers of Westworld expect her to feel, but she bristles at it all the same.

Mom also shares a story of her trip to the New England Aquarium in Boston and critiques the quality of game show vacation prizes.

Mom On Pop is available on iTunes, and there’s a podcast RSS feed if you want to subscribe to the show in other apps. Never miss an episode!
