Teti’s mom does not approve of all the butt talk on Silicon Valley

Aux Features TV

In the Mom On Pop podcast, Bonney Teti—mother of A.V. Club editor-in-chief John Teti—shares her unfiltered thoughts on the pop culture of the day.

Let it never be said that Mom doesn’t take her critical duties seriously. Asked to review HBO’s Silicon Valley for this installment of the podcast, Mom immediately binge-watched the entire series from the beginning (up through “Two In The Box,” the last episode that had aired before our taping). Her verdict: These programmer fellows spend too much time talking about ass-fucking. But despite her anti-profanity stance, I was still able to extract a modicum of praise from Mom for the show’s potty-mouthed characters.

Other conversation topics include an upsetting trend in obituaries, pastry-eating neighborhood dogs, armpit hair, and my aunt’s tiny feet.

Mom On Pop is available on iTunes, and there’s a podcast RSS feed if you want to subscribe to the show in other apps. Never miss an episode!
