Good news for anybody sick of staring ceaselessly at our current political process, and who would rather feast their eyes on a bunch of dicks that actually have some solid aesthetic merits, for once: The cast of Superbad is reuniting to raise money for the Democratic party of Wisconsin. Specifically, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Bill Hader, and Martha MacIsaac—plus director Greg Mattola and co-writer Evan Goldberg—will be getting together on Tuesday, October 27 at 8 p.m. Central for a re-watch of the 2007 film.
You can RSVP for the event here, with access to the reunion feed requiring a donation of any dollar amount. It’s just the latest in a long stream of online pop-culture fundraisers that have cropped up in the last several months, including reunions by the casts of The Princess Bride, Seinfeld, and Parks And Rec. There’s no script-reading attached to this one, but if it’s been a minute since you sat down with the adventures of Seth, Evan, and Fogell, there are probably worse ways to do so than with Seth Rogen and Bill Hader cracking jokes together over the stream—and worse causes to contribute to in the process.
Remember to make your voting plan ASAP.

TRUMP WARNED OF THIS MONTHS AGO BUT THEY ALL LAUGHED AT HIM!!!! – YahwehYahshua, Truth, United States, 3 hours ago
I know I did.
Here’s the October surprise that will get Trump reelected.
This seems like an overreaction to Josh Gad not being involving. You Had fans sheesh.
A very good cause. Bill Hader and Seth Rogen are such a blast in this movie…I could watch their scenes over and over. Excellent as Bill is in drama, this will always be one of his best parts.
To raise money for Wisconsin Republicans, whoever the cast of God’s Not Dead 2 was are getting together to watch the first fifteen minutes of it before getting up and leaving the church basement.Donations will be accepted. Just drop them in the open window of Melissa Joan Hart’s 1985 Ford Escort GL diesel wagon (color: rust), parked in the lot.
Everyone coming together for Wisconsin seems like a complete case of losing the forest for the trees. Sure, WI was the ‘tipping point’ state, but there were plenty of other states on a knife edge that are worth more electoral votes. If you were going to pick one of those to win, WI is the least valuable. Pour your money into FL, PA, MI, NC, or even AZ or GA and you’ll get more out of it.
Not all have been for Wisconsin. Off the top of my head, the Seinfeld one was for Texas and the Spinal Tap one was for Pennsylvania
Spinal Tap recently did a reunion stream for PA. and Seinfeld for Texas, but I agree I wish they were spread around. I guess WI gets attention partly because the ugly political climate there in the last decade has gotten so much national attention.
Wisconsin is also the canary state in the coalmine of democratic erosion, which has created some extra urgency to counter its horrifically gerrymandered legislature and power-mad Supreme Court.
Even with a blue wave coming in, I think the effect on non-presidential races is going to be minimal. No senate race this year for WI, Dems already safely control the House (and anyway only one of the seats is forecast at anything below 95), and the state seats, as you mention, are so gerrymandered that on my ballot (WI 5th) every race below the Fitzgerald/Palzewicz was unopposed.
That’s good to hear.
As a Wisconsinite I may also just be twigging the WI rallies more (also possible, that AVClub being mostly in Chicago is picking up the WI events on their radar).
Just read this inteview:

Which is not so deep, but an interesting note is that it all kicked off because Bradley Whitford was a Madison high schooler and somoene on the WisDEms team was a friend of Cary Elwes, so it seems now less like a top-down targeting of WI and more that they just made the most some unexpected connections.
Florida is toast, and really, when it comes to economic issues who cares what we think? It’s all about the North and Midwest as far as I can see.
No one cares what FL thinks, but in a winner-take-all contest, you can’t afford to overlook the T3rd most electoral votes when it’ll be decided by a percentage point or so.
Is there a particular amount I can contribute to mute Seth Rogen’s continual laughter?
People are gonna start dragging Emma Stone for this, because having better things to do than talk about Superbad will surely mean that she’s a Republican.
Good, Wisconsin Democrats need all the help they can get.
Don’t know what to tell people about Florida, our state is toast as far as I’m concerned.
