With the third season of HBO’s animated series Animals just around the corner, The A.V. Club jumped into a swan boat on Echo Park Lake in Los Angeles with creators Phil Matarese and Mike Luciano to talk about the upcoming slate of episodes. While on the water, we got Matarese and Luciano to list their five favorite animated shows of all time, which include a couple obvious entries (The Simpsons) and a few underappreciated gems.
