The Doctor visits a pyramid at the end of the world

Here’s what’s up in the world of TV for Friday, May 26, and Saturday, May 27. All times are Eastern.

Top pick

Doctor Who (BBC America, Saturday, 9 p.m.): After last week’s unexpected outing wherein Peter Capaldi revealed the existence of this show’s equivalent of the Matrix, it’s off to the titular “Pyramid At The End Of The World.” The crew heads to a 5,000-year-old tomb that just happens to be smack in the middle of a war zone between China, Russia, and the U.S. Needless to say, Alasdair Wilkins is pretty excited to talk about it with everyone.

Regular coverage

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (Netflix)
Master Of None (Netflix)
RuPaul’s Drag Race (VH1, Friday, 8 p.m.)
Class (BBC America, Saturday, 10:05 p.m.)

Wild card

D.E.B.S. (This, Saturday, 2 a.m.): If a healthy dose of camp sounds good to you, then it’s a genuine surprise if you haven’t seen D.E.B.S. yet. While trying to capture a notorious criminal (Fast And Furious’ Jordana Brewster), the leader of an all-girl spy team (think teenage Charlie’s Angels) instead ends up falling in love with her. It’s a ridiculous and over-the-top queer indie with its tongue firmly in its cheek, and is almost cathartically endearing. Plus, Westworld star Jimmi Simpson has a supporting role, and if you’ve seen it, he loves getting complimented on it, for the next time you run into him on the street.
