Kristen Wiig is headed to a post-apocalyptic future for a stint on The Last Man On Earth, according to TV Line. Per the report, Wiig’s role is “top-secret,” but she’ll be featured in multiple episodes. That’s not much to go on, but this does mean that the comedian will be reunited with her Saturday Night Live co-star Will Forte. The two took their MacGruber sketch schtick to the big screen in 2010.
The Last Man On Earth ended its fall finale on an extreme down note with the fate of Mary Steenburgen’s character Gail up in the air. That morbid conclusion could very well mean that there’s room for another player in future episodes. The show returns March 5.
