The Piña Colada song makes every movie better

Piña coladas are fine, if you’re on the beach. “Escape (The Piña Colada Song)” is also fine, if you’re singing karaoke with your uncle. Much better than fine is Piña Colliding, the Tumblr created by HuffPo senior comedy editor Carol Hartsell and her “comedy/life partner,” comedian/writer Sean Crespo. The site takes Rupert Holmes’ 1979 hit “Escape (The Piña Colada Song)” and inserts it into climactic scenes from films like The Lion King, Silence Of The Lambs, and The Untouchables, transforming moments of unbearable tension into cool island breezes and two-for-one Mai Tais.
