For those who haven’t seen the io9 article and don’t feel like watching the video:- Both shows are being done by Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe branch.- Craig McCracken is head showrunner, producer, and director.- Powerpuff Girls says it will be a reboot, but the wording implies that it will be a sequel series, replacing the 2016 show (which was left off the press release entirely).
– Foster’s Home will be a preschool show with a brand new cast of characters, though there’s the implication that the old cast will cameo on occasion.
– No US broadcast has been mentioned, but it will likely be Cartoon Network (for PPG) and Cartoonito (Foster’s) along with HBO Max.
McCracken wasn’t involved in the 2016 reboot at all, was he? At least I hope not, because I tried watching that, and it just wasn’t interesting.
No, McCracken was not involved at all with the 2016 show.
Did that live action Powerpuff TV show ever happen?
Script leaked and it imploded.
There was a Variety article earlier that said the project isn’t dead yet.So that bomb is still armed
Can’t wait to watch it in a double bill with the Divergent series.
It’s still technically in development, but Chloe Bennett dropped out and they haven’t announced a replacement yet.
Alongside the lovely and talented Lauren Faust, who also happens to be his wife!
If they have a son, I hope they name him Phil.
Since sll these old shows are getting rebooted, I demand Cow and Chicken be rebooted.Momma had a chicken, momma had a cow, Dad was proud, he didn’t care how!
