Seth Rogen has just extended an invitation to his Sausage Party with a tweet containing the red band trailer for the movie, which premiered as a work-in-progress cut at SXSW last night. So far, the film’s R-rating mostly applies to the copious swearing by the vegetables, buns, condiments, and sausages voiced by Rogen and perma-sausage party attendees like James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Michael Cera, and Paul Rudd. We do get to see how the sausage is made (into dinner), as there’s also some death in the form of mise en place and snacking. Naturally, Seth Rogen’s wiener coughs up some smoke at some point, but it’s totally okay because he probably needed something to take the edge off his impending death by grill.
