The universe has produced another Nine Inch Nails and Carly Rae Jepsen mashup

Aux Features Music

Nine Inch Nails’ brutal, aggressive “Head Like A Hole” is scornful toward people who blindly follow the kind of government leaders that don’t have their supporters’ best interests at heart. It’s also a shockingly perfect mashup companion for a growing number of sugary Carly Rae Jepsen electropop hits. Two years after the surprisingly good “Call Me A Hole” comes “I Really Like A Hole,” which might be even better. Vimeo user yepimthetoaster alternates lines from the NIN song and the Jepsen smash “I Really Like You” with surgical precision; a bridge featuring an old-school Trent Reznor interview and goofy footage of Jepsen and crew performing the song on Good Morning America add to the charm. Really, the only thing that would’ve made the clip better is a glimpse of Nine Inch Nails’ infamous Dance Party USA performance.
