This week we’re barely putting up with the end of the Tolerability Index

A guide to what we’re barely putting up with this week.

The return of Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney’s thoroughly enjoyable Catastrophe on Amazon. It’s so nice to watch a rom-com where the rom is grounded and the com is plentiful.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s latest cookbook fantasy, It’s All Easy. Suggested subtitle: “For me, Gwyneth Paltrow. For you, it definitely won’t be easy.”

Trailers for The Huntsman: Winter’s War. Oh, look! They made a live-action, super serious Frozen! For some reason!

The MTV Movie Awards. Sure, it’s completely unnecessary. But if MTV doesn’t determine who the Best Villain of 2015 was, then all that metal popcorn will go to waste.

Any and all discussion of “festival style.” Dressing like an extra in a Lifetime movie about the Manson family isn’t style, it’s cosplay. Be-fringed, faux-hippie cosplay.

Burger King’s red-velvet-bunned atrocity, the Angriest Whopper. If you’re wondering who’s angry, it’s all the kids who had to surrender their fun with food Play-Doh sets so Burger King could use them to attempt to re-market the Whopper.

The end of Tolerability Index. No, things haven’t stopped being less than tolerable—it’s just now up to you to organize them into a tidy chart each week. Ten years of identifying the tolerable, mildly irritating, and unbearable in pop culture each week is a pretty good run. Still, it truly is the end of a (barely tolerable) era.
