MCU fans have been desperately waiting for any info about the third Spider-Man movie. The cast knows that desperation very well, so they decided to have some fun with it. Tom Holland trolled fans on Instagram with a mock-up logo featuring “Spider-Man Phone Home” as the title. Then his costars started to join in: Jacob Batalon shared another logo with the title “Spider-Man Home-Wrecker” and Zendaya went with “Spider-Man Home Slice.” Even Tony Revolori tweeted that he was previously informed of the clear title choice, “Spider-Man: Ese Homie.”
But fans had endured enough teasing, so on Wednesday, Holland shared a video featuring the real title: Spider-Man: No Way Home. In the video, Holland jokes to his costars that he’s been given a fake title again by director Jon Watts. “I don’t understand why he keeps doing this! I don’t spoil things! Name one thing I’ve actually spoiled,” says Holland. Hmm yeah, Holland would never. The real title’s then revealed on a white board.
The exact plot of No Way Home hasn’t been revealed yet, but we do know that Alfred Molina is returning to his role as Doctor Octopus (who is perhaps the best villain from the original Spider-Man movies). Jamie Foxx is also returning as Electro, whom he first played in Amazing Spider-Man 2. What we did learn today is that there seemingly will never be a Tom Holland Spider-Man movie without “home” in the title and Spider-Man keeps getting further away from home in each one.

Why does this not have more stars!?
Because this joke (along with others in this thread) is already on the actual whiteboard in the reveal video?
Spider-Man 6: Homeward Bound: the Incredible Journey
First Blood Episode IV
Spider-Man 3: Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home
Spider-Man 3: Homeboys in Outer Space
My god, I don’t think I have ever seen anyone other than me reference Homeboys in Outer Space before. Homeboys, in outer space/ Mercenary Brotherrrrrs!
Is this the one that features a Trump cameo where Spidey blasts him with webbing and sticks him outside the 40th floor of the Manhattan District Attorney’s office?
Shit I bet money on spider-man the way home
Where is MCU Peter in the latest MCU property chronologically? I mean their (in-universe) chronologically, not necessarily our chronologically.
Then his costars started to join in: Jacob Batalon shared another logo with the title “Spider-Man Home-Wrecker” Ah so Mephisto is in this movie I see…
Seems (maybe) Mephisto is the next Thanos. They’ve hinted they are going supernatural for the next MCU theme. Morbius, Blade, Dr Strange, Shang Chi, and another Ghostrider in the works. A Midnight Sons story arc should be coming down the pipe.
Bringing in Death as the string puller behind everything including Thanos would be great, especially since it fits with the comics. Also, if there’s a chance of Eva Green as death …*faints*
Eh idk, having someone behind Thanos would be the sort of exponential escalation that the franchise can’t really sustain. If nothing else, I think we’d need a couple more phases of Thanos-level threats first.
Who’s that voice on the side of the phone that shakes and rattles his bones?
Could it be the man behind the man behind the man behind the throne?
someone being “behind Thanos” kinda serves to make Thanos a lot less cool. he’s the guy who is behind things!
“Also, if there’s a chance of Eva Green as death …*faints*”oh my, yes. Honestly please just give her any juicy role in the MCU. I need more Eva Green in my life and she deserves a shot at a good comic movie after somehow starring in TWO shitty far-too-late Frank Miller sequels in the same year.
So close.I was pulling for “The Long Way Home”.
With soundtrack by Supertramp.
I had put my money on No Direction Home. No cigar. Guess they’re not Bob Dylan fans.
I always find it unsettling when actors I didn’t know were English are English. Seriously, how dare they?
Even worse when they’re Aussies.
The bloody nerve of some some people.
Exac-HEY!!
Damn ferners stealing all spider-mans jobs
The first Marvel Spidey movie imo captured the Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman vibe perfectly in his first act or so. It’s really frustrating that these movies are mostly disinterested in the most unique aspect of Spiderman, which is that he’s a small-time vigilante who fights gimmicky small-time thugs.
Good thing there’s a bajillion other Spidey comics and movies that can fill that void for you. I have been nothing but happy with the MCU Spiderman.
real
Yes, a story about Spider-Man being one small-time vigilante who fights gimmicky small-time thugs in a sea of about 1,803,242 small-time vigilantes who fights gimmicky small-time thugs in New York would show off that uniqueness of his character.
Maybe the whole movie could be him swinging through the city namechecking the countless vigilantes who all reside there.
FUCKI didn’t see this when I commentedbut goddamn did Shadow make me want a dog more than anything in the universe when I was growing up.
I so desperately want a remake of this to be what the entire MCU project has been leading up to now.
“ but we do know that Alfred Molina is returning to his role as Doctor Octopus”No we don’t. We have a mountain of rumors about this movie, we do not have any confirmation of anyone from previous Spider-Man movies but Jamie Foxx.

So I’ll preface by saying that if this stuff brings people enjoyment, it probably doesn’t really matter, but there’s an awful lot of this type of thing coming from MCR actors. I do wonder sometimes how much really is just the actors goofing around vs. pre-planned and scripted posting/talking points arranged by Marvel PR flacks to carry over the humour vibe from the films to their promotion.

Bravo. Although I’ll admit I was hoping for Spider-Man 6 at the end there.
really hope they get the ‘home’ stuff out of their system with this one.
Saw this in another forum:
not to be a whiner. but that title fucking sucks
“Alfred Molina…(who is perhaps the best villain from the original Spider-Man movies)” he’s not just the best villain, but his movie is the best movie out of any Spider-Man film, period. Fwiw, I like this title.
These days I would say best live-action Spider-Man film. Into the Spider-Verse is the best Spider-Man film and might even be my favorite Marvel or superhero movie, period.
Spider-Verse was great, but not Spider-Man 2 great.
Spider-Man: Homestar Runner. It’s dot com.
I regret that I can only like this once.
As a sequel, it can’t hold a candle to Dangeresque Too.“Let’s get one thing straight meatball…face…butt…”
perhaps the best villain from the original Spider-Man movies
Perhaps? The real question is which one is number two. There’s a steep drop off after Doc Ock.
The Tom Holland Spider-Man movies have been great, but am I the only one who wants to see him in a more traditional Spidey story, centered around Queens and Manhattan just, you know, fighting muggers and second-rate costumed villains?
The cosmic stuff works because he’s a fish out of water, but at this rate, it’s all he’s going to be doing in the MCU.
I look forward to these movies lasting long enough for ‘Spider-Man: Retirement Home’.
“No Way Home” makes it sound like he’s going to get trapped in the multiverse, a bit like Sam Beckett in Quantum Leap.
Uhm actually
How old is that title reveal video? Jacob Batalon either gained back all of the weight that he lost or the video was filmed at least 7 months ago.
The fake title gags just make me want the pretend movies. I’m still mad we never got Captain America: Serpent Society.
Spider-Man: Home ImprovementOnce a host of a cable television program, Tim Taylor is cancelled by the liberal media. Now as the Tool Man he leaves destruction in his wake using an arsenal of Binford power tools in his search for MORE POWER!
On the run after his identity being doxed at the end of his last film, Peter Parker hides out as a diner cook while he tries to find out what went wrong and put his life back together in “Spider-Man 3: Home Fries.”
