Bravo has another major Vanderpump break-up on its hands
While it's not quite Scandoval levels (yet), The Valley stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are apparently splitting up

While we can probably never hope to live again in an era as rich with subtext, meaning, and sheer existential beauty as the heart of Vanderpump Rules’ “Scandoval” era, we are moved to note tonight that another Bravo-branded marriage is now apparently in serious danger of dissolving, right before a reality show heavily featuring said marriage is set to air. Specifically, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, who were literally married on Bravo, after being cast members for several years on Vanderpump, are apparently splitting up. This may have some slight impact on the rollout of their new reality series The Valley, which is, in part, about the two of them making it work as affluent suburban parents, so, y’know, whoops.
Taylor and Cartwright rolled out the news in an unexpected-for-Bravo understated way, with Cartwright breaking the news (alone) on the couple’s shared podcast, announcing that she’d moved into a separate home after a very “rough year” between the two of them. And while we’re sure all the gory details will come out in confessionals, talking heads, and, if Vanderpump is anything to go off of, court testimony, the whole thing is still likely to cast a pall over The Valley’s debut. (Obviously, shows like this thrive on drama, but “high-profile break-up” doesn’t exactly jibe with the “We’re all adults making it work!” vibe the show’s marketing has been going for so far.)
The new series is set to air this spring, after this season of Vanderpump wraps, and was serving, at least partially, as part of the slow Bravo re-launch of Taylor, Cartwright, and long-time friend(?) Kristen Doute, all of whom disappeared from Vanderpump land after the summer of 2020, amidst accusations of racist behavior against Taylor and Doute.

gee, who’s face is more shiny?
We all wish you’d stop vanderpumping the shit out of this show.
Seriously, who is asking for this? It’s not getting great engagement, even by current tepid standards. Does it secretly get massive amounts of clicks?
Five’ll get you ten Bravo is paying them for this unlabelled sponcon.
We are here to VanderPUMP *clap* you up!
Either they are getting paid to promote this or the traffic numbers they get for it are actually high (though you can’t tell from the comments). The Vanderpump Rules cheating scandal was a massive story in the reality TV world so I could see them trying to take advantage of SEO results.
But either way, its just further proof the people making decisions have no clue and/or no regard for what the AVC’s audience actually wants to read about (quality reviews about movies/tv shows/music and news items about those topics)
I was gonna say. I thought guys called “Jax” only existed in video games!
No, you were right, this guy is a video game character.

But is Vanderpump ever going to be as amazing as The Hills?
Whaddya mean that you don’t know what that is? Entertainment media gushed about it, so didn’t you get programmed to love it around 2008?https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hills_(TV_series)Ok, then maybe this gem from 1977 will be more your speed!https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hills_Have_Eyes_(1977_film)
