Watch Zooey Deschanel get animated in this clip for She & Him’s “Baby, It's Cold Outside”

Zooey Deschanel seems intent on making Christmas her bitch. The delightful sprite rocketed to fame with her co-starring role in Elf, for which she sang “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” That charming/creepy, creepy ditty—whose predatory overtones were adroitly spoofed in Key & Peele’s “Just Stay For The Night”—also appeared on 2011’s A Very She & Him Christmas, and now the song has been turned into an animated video.

Considering how adorable Deschanel looks in a Santa’s hat, it seems a shame to relegate her to a mere voice-over in the video, but it’s pretty goddamned cute all the same, and almost makes you forget how fundamentally creepy the beloved Christmas classic really is. Almost.
