Weird Al wrote a pretty gouda cheese-based crossword puzzle for The New York Times

Bumping himself up a little further from “some-math” to “polymath” this week, beloved parody songster “Weird Al” Yankovic has now added “New York Times crossword puzzle constructor” to his numerous list of titles. Working with the paper’s Eric Berlin and Will Shortz, Yankovic just became the paper’s latest celebrity constructor, submitting a pun-filled puzzle for Wednesday’s paper centered around cheese-based jokes about popular movie titles, because a fella’s gotta stay on-brand these days, right?

Unfortunately, you’ll need a subscription to the Times’ Crosswords page (or the physical paper proper) to actually do the puzzle, but you can still read Berlin’s giddy notes on getting to work with his musical hero here.
