The Jinx – Part Two (HBO, Sunday, 10 p.m.)
Can you believe HBO’s The Jinx premiered nine years ago? After all this time, there’s now a six-episode followup to the true-crime phenom, which covers everything that’s happened since the “killed them all” reveal, complete with new interviews, Robert Durst’s prison phone calls before he died in 2022, and previously unshared details about his crimes. As a sequel, The Jinx – Part Two largely succeeds. It leans into prosecution dramedy less reliant on new bombshell evidence and humanizes the friends and lovers Durst endeared without assuaging their guilt.
Dead Boy Detectives (Netflix, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)
Neil Gaiman’s Netflix universe expands after The Sandman with Dead Boy Detectives. Charles Rowland (George Rexstrew) and Edwin Paine (Jayden Revri) avoid the afterlife by staying on Earth to solve supernatural crimes after they die. The eight-episode dramedy also stars Briana Cuoco, Jenn Lyon, Lukas Gage, Lindsey Gort, and Ruth Connell. And yes, expect a crossover because Kirby Howell-Baptiste reprises her role as Death from The Sandman here. Look out for The A.V. Club’s review of the show on Thursday.

Hip-Hop And The White House (Hulu, Monday, 12:01 a.m.)
Rapper Jeezy narrates Hip-Hop And The White House, which digs into the influence of Black culture on American politics over the past 50 years, specifically (and interestingly) through the lens of various presidential administrations.
Them (Prime Video, Thursday, 12:01 a.m.)
Little Marvin and Lena Waithe’s anthology horror series Them is back for season two. Deborah Ayorinde is the only original cast member to return, and this time she plays LAPD officer Dawn Reeves, who is on a mission to solve her foster mother’s murder. Pam Grier, Luke James, and Jeremy Bobb co-star.

What’s a TV viewing week without Netflix indulging true-crime addicts? The Doomsday Cult Of Antarez De La Luz revisits the dark stories of a cult from Chile who were known for ritualistic murders and other horrific activities.
City Hunter (Netflix, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)
The live-action adaptation of the manga City Hunter follows the womanizing private detective Ryo (Ryohei Suzuki) as he teams up with his dead partner’s sister (played by Misato Morita) to solve the murder.
