The biggies
The Boys (Prime Video, Thursday, 12:01 a.m.)
Alright, mates, The Boys are back, as Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) would say. The superhero satire’s fourth season builds on the aftermath of Homelander (Antony Starr) going public with his racist, misogynistic, evil personality. No longer needing to pretend he’s basically Superman, Homie sets up new members of the Seven who are happy to be bootlickers. Meanwhile, Billy only has a few months to live, so he’ll stop at nothing to destroy Vought with the help of his motley crew. The A.V. Club will recap the show, which premieres with three episodes on June 13.
Bridgerton (Netflix, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)
In the back half of Bridgerton season three, things heat up for Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan). They’re finally engaged, but a massive secret looms over their relationship. He still doesn’t know she’s the period-era gossip girl, a.k.a. Lady Whistledown. Will he find out? Will he abandon their relationship if he does? That’s what Bridgerton’s unnecessarily split third season will answer while setting up the main couple for season four. Look out for The A.V. Hidden gems
Presumed Innocent (Apple TV+, Wednesday, 12:01 a.m.)
In David E. Kelley’s latest legal drama, based on Scott Turow’s novel of the same name, Jake Gyllenhaal plays Rusty Sabich, a prosecutor who’s on trial for allegedly killing his coworker, Carolyn (Renate Reinsve), with whom he had a fling. He turns to his confidante and colleague, Raymond Horgan (Bill Camp), to be his lawyer. The cast includes Ruth Negga, Elizabeth Marvel, Peter Sarsgaard, O-T Fagbenle, and Lily Rabe. The A.V. Club’s review of the show publishes Monday.
Hannah Einbinder: Everything Must Go (Max, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)
Hannah Einbinder is a marvel in Hacks, especially in the recent third season, and now she’s taking over HBO again with her new special. In Everything Must Go, the actor and comic shares personal family stories, including a divine intervention at her grandmother’s funeral, and debuts various characters like the sun, moon, and Earth, whatever that means.

Origin (Hulu, Monday, 12:01 a.m.)
Ava DuVernay’s 2023 film Origin comes to streaming via Hulu. The biographical drama is based on the life of journalist and author Isabel Wilkerson (Aunjanue Ellis) as she travels to Germany, India, and America to research caste systems. Jon Bernthal, Niecy Nash, Finn Wittrock, Victoria Pedretti, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Nick Offerman, Audra McDonald, and Vera Farmiga round out the cast. Here’s The A.V. Club’s review.
My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman (Netflix, Wednesday, 3:01 a.m.)
In My Next Guest With David Letterman, the talk-show host gets into deep and honest conversations with celebrities. After a special episode earlier this year featuring John Mulaney, the series returns for a season five with stars like Miley Cyrus and Charles Barkley.
