The biggies
The Regime (HBO, Sunday, 9 p.m.)
Kate Winslet is back on HBO with The Regime, a political satire from Succession writer Will Tracy. She plays Elena Vernham, a physician-turned-chancellor of a fictional European country. Her paranoid, selfish personality means she isn’t a very good ruler, and it gets worse once she becomes fixated on Cpl Herbert Zubak (Matthias Schoenaerts), a soldier hired to protect her. Andrea Riseborough and Guillaume Gallienne co-star, with Martha Plimpton and Hugh Grant appearing. The A.V. Club will recap the show weekly. The Gentlemen (Netflix, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)
Guy Ritchie has helmed a spin-off of his 2019 film, The Gentlemen. This one follows Eddie Horniman (Theo James), who inherits a large estate from his father only to realize it’s part of a weed-growing empire belonging to drug kingpin Mickey Pearson. As various criminals from the British underworld try to claim a piece of the action, Eddie attempts to save his family by turning to a life of crime himself. The cast includes Giancarlo Esposito, Kaya Scodelario, and Daniel Ings. The A.V. Club’s review publishes on Wednesday.
Hidden gems
Queens (Hulu/Disney+, Tuesday, 3:01 a.m.)
Angela Bassett narrates Queens, a seven-episode docuseries about the female leaders of the animal world. The show uses cutting-edge technology to reveal how they rely on cooperation instead of brute strength to rule over their packs. Fun fact: The project has been filming for four years, with crews estimating that they spend around 300 days shooting each installment.
Supersex (Netflix, Wednesday, 3:01 a.m.)
The Italian series Supersex, which premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival last month, is a biographical drama about porn star Rocco Siffredi (Alessandro Borghi) and how he went from a dude with a simple life to a global celebrity.

The Netflix Slam (Netflix, Sunday, 3:30 p.m.)
Netflix live-streams a tennis match between Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz in Las Vegas. The event is presented in both English and Spanish, and commenters include Andre Agassi, Andy Roddick, Jim Courier, Mary Joe Fernández, Patrick McEnroe, and Prakash Amritraj.
The Program: Cons, Cults And Kidnapping (Netflix, Tuesday, 3:01 a.m.)
Another week, another true-crime doc on Netflix. Directed by Katherine Kubler, The Program: Cons, Cults And Kidnapping unpacks the tragic experiences of students who joined The Academy at Ivy Ridge in Ogdensburg, New York. They give a first-hand account of their unusual experiences, including suffering from mental and physical abuse in a cult-like operation.
