1. J.Lo leads the sci-fi film Atlas

Netflix, Friday, 3:01 a.m.: Atlas stars Jennifer Lopez as a data scientist named—you guessed it—Atlas who is recruited to go on a secret space mission to defeat a robot that’s gone rogue. The only way to bring it down? To trust the artificial intelligence she despises. The cast of this sci-fi film includes Simu Liu, Sterling K. Brown, Lana Parrilla, and Mark Strong.


2. South Park has a few things to say about Ozempic

South Park: The End Of Obesity | Coming May 24, 2024

Paramount+, Friday, 3:01 a.m.: The creators of South Park figured everyone is waiting to hear their take on Ozempic, so here we are. A new special, titled The End Of Obesity, centers on Eric Cartman (Trey Parker) being told by a doctor that he needs to lose weight. When he’s denied access to the popular medication, he and his pals are forced to jump into action.


3. Disney+ drops a Beach Boys doc

Disney+, Friday, 3:01 a.m.: The Beach Boys debuts on Disney+ just in time for summer, charting the band’s journey from being surf-rock phenoms to making masterful pop that inspired the Beatles. It features previously unseen footage of the group’s recording sessions and performances, as well as interviews with artists like Janelle Monae and Don Was.


4. HBO presents the Chromatica Ball

HBO, Saturday, 8 p.m.: It took two years but now we can finally witness Lady Gaga’s Chromatica Ball from the comfort of our couches. The concert film captures the singer’s 2022 performance at Dodger Stadium, pyrotechnics and all.


5. A new anime film hits Netflix

Netflix, Friday, 3:01 a.m.: In the anime adaptation My Oni Girl, Hiiragi (Kensho Ono) is a people pleaser who doesn’t know how to say no to anything. His life changes when he meets Tsumugi (Miyu Tomita), an oni girl—that is, a mythical demon who champions self-expression. Aww.
