What’s up with the lack of coverage of Mrs Davis? Weird.

Ugh, Myra Hindley and Ian Brady… I had to write a capstone paper on female serial killers for my first degree and she was one of the killers I had to study.  The loathing I have for her and him is near endless, wish they were long dead, buried, and forgotten unlike the victims.  Christ the transcript for the 4th victim is among the most miserable things I’ve ever read.

I hate shows like this, it’s exploitative and will only make people suffer, especially if they’ve had any kind of traumatic loss in their life time. And the line about “how they were allowed to happen” is ridiculous, no one allowed them to happen, but tragically human beings are sometimes foul, horrific things that murder children, and given how many school shootings are taking place to this day it’s a situation which is getting worse because no one knows how to stop it. (And I know, changing gun laws sure would help a lot, but being based in England they’re not to blame when something like Brady and Hindley happen).

How this was allowed to happen is a bizarre phrasing. The funny thing is that they aren’t hard to figure out. She was a bad apple since school, always manipulating others and rarely caring about anyone but herself, he a diagnosed psychopath that believed he was smarter then anyone else and enjoyed subverting what he felt was British culture. It was just excuses to murder and rape children. They both liked nazis, Myra went by Hessie which was short for Rudolph Hess but liked to say it was for Myra Hess the pianist. She liked Irma Gerese the female concentration camp guard. They weren’t born like this, what made them become this I don’t know it doesn’t really matter.  Its unfortunate this was the first big crime trial after the death penalty was abolished, the shadow of the rope hangs heavy over both of them. They sure made the world just a little bit worse and they loved the attention.
