Will Forte enters the presidential race as Tim Calhoun on The Tonight Show

The presidential race is getting heated (okay, has been), which means it’s time for cooler heads to prevail. To that end, Will Forte brought back Tim Calhoun, his awkwardly gesticulating Saturday Night Live character, on The Tonight Show last night. Calhoun, in his typical whispery fashion, announced his bid for president on the “Write-In Party” ticket. His campaign slogan is “Make America Grate Cheese Again,” which already sounds better than what Donald Trump is offering up.

This is not the first time Calhoun has attempted to run for president—back in 2008, he took a strong stance against baby dentists. In the years since we last saw him, he clearly hasn’t gotten any better at public speaking, still relying on notecards to help him get through his statement. Calhoun is also the rare candidate that supports ISIS—wait, sorry, he supports “ices.” After all, he likes his beverages frosty. That’s a platform we can all agree upon.
