Win a copy of The Alex Crow, the new book from Grasshopper Jungle author Andrew Smith

Aux Features Books

This year, author Andrew Smith will unveil The Alex Crow, his much-anticipated follow-up to 2014’s Grasshopper Jungle. Since his previous book told the story of a teenager’s sexual confusion during a 6-foot-tall praying mantis apocalypse, it should come as no surprise that The Alex Crow will be pretty out there as well. The novel juggles a number of narrative threads, chronicling the stories of a young refugee living in West Virginia, a schizophrenic bomber, a failed arctic expedition, and a bionic crow. It’s certainly sounds like it’s going to be one of 2015’s most talked about YA novels.

The Alex Crow arrives on bookshelves on March 10 and The A.V. Club and Penguin Books have an opportunity for you to be one of the first to get your hands on it. We’ll be selecting five readers to win a brand new copy of the novel as well as a “Keep YA Weird” tote and button from Andrew Smith’s upcoming book tour, which celebrates experimentalism and imagination in YA literature. For your chance to win, simply send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “The Alex Crow.” Be sure to include your name and mailing address in the body of the email. On Friday, March 20, we’ll randomly select five winners from eligible entries who will be notified shortly thereafter. US entrants only. Estimated retail value for the prize package is $19.99.
