Microsoft’s Gears Of War 4 comes out next week, introducing a whole new generation of gamers to Locusts, Hordes, and the glories of guns with chainsaws on the end. Among those newfound gaming neophytes: Conan host Conan O’Brien, who somehow convinced yet another high-profile video game studio to let him mercilessly mock their output as part of his popular Clueless Gamer segment.
As always, O’Brien is teamed up with a guest, there to provide commentary, jokes, and, in this case, some medicinal relaxation. Wiz Khalifa was on hand to play through selected portions of the game’s bloody campaign, accompanied by what appears to have been some fairly pungent pot, all the better to survive a dry recitation of the game’s needlessly complex backstory.
The finished segment is heavier on weed jokes (and potato salad) than actual gameplay, but it does feature a few good moments of O’Brien’s onscreen ineptitude—most notably, a ricocheting grenade throw that bounces back over his head and a few instances of shooting his partner in the back. Still, it doesn’t seem to stop the pair from “fucking their enemy’s lunch up,” so mission accomplished, we guess.
