12 years after getting fired from Grey’s Anatomy for calling co-star T.R. Knight a homophobic slur, Isaiah Washington is going to the exact place where you’d expect him to go: Fox News. Well, technically he’s going to the company’s Fox Nation streaming service, but that’s basically just Fox News with less… prestige. This unsurprising news comes from The Wrap, which says Washington will host an untitled travel/cooking show where he cooks with “everyday Americans and celebrities inside their own kitchens.” Along the way, they’ll “chat about their cultures, traditions, and the 2020 election.” So make that an untitled travel/cooking/politics show, which just sounds like a blast when you consider the caliber of “celebrities” that are going to want to appear on Fox News’ streaming platform with the guy who got fired from Grey’s Anatomy.

The Wrap points out that Washington has made an effort to do fewer homophobic things since 2007, joining other Hollywood-types in public condemnations of anti-LGBTQ legislation, and he’s also been an advocate against police brutality. That being said, he’s also become a bit of a Trumper recently, with Newsweek reporting that he gave an interview to Fox Nation earlier this year in which he noted that there are a lot of “conservative or centric libertarian-minded [famous people] that really care about other people,” but they’re afraid to “come out of the closet” as conservatives—which is an extremely fun choice of words for, you know, the guy who got fired from that show for doing the thing he did.

Washington’s Fox nation show doesn’t have a premiere date yet, but if you’re the kind of person reading this, you’re probably not the kind of person who actually wants to watch it. If you are, though, feel free to leave a mean comment below.

Gonna go out on a limb and say it’s “The black guy who wasn’t my man from Detroit Become Human” due to the article photo. It made it pretty easy i mean Katherine Heigel would’ve been my guess otherwise. Speaking Katherine Heigel watch the movie Unforgetable, HDTGM? did an episode of it and after watching it for myself KH’s crazed performance did not disappoint

Holy shit, he might be a worse person than his character Jaha on The 100, who I really, really hated. That was good casting, I guess

He’s one of those people who’s so good at playing a loathsome asshole, and that’s (perhaps) because it’s not much of a stretch. I saw him once while waiting at the gate for a delayed flight -dude had resting asshole face, and after a while he stormed off in a puff – and then almost immediately the flight started boarding (which I found kinda amusing).Anyway, let’s see – Romeo must die, I don’t remember much about his character except he was an asshole. There was a movie with JLo (was it Out of Sight?) where he’s – guess what – an asshole. I remember a scene where he’s in a room with her and gets kinda rapey, and makes some comment to her like “what a dog like you needs … is a *bone*”. I mean, kudos to him cos not many actors can play scum so convincingly. But then on the flipside not sure I’d buy him playing a loveable self-deprecating sweet-natured guy. Contrast that with someone like Jason Ritter, who I think has the opposite problem. I watched a show recently where he was supposed to be a bad guy, and I wasn’t buying it. If it were him in Out of Sight, I’d fully expect JLo to laugh in his face in a scene where he’s supposed to be giving menacing lines to her, and be like “Boy, quit playin’!” *giggle*

I need to see this list of celebrities and see if it will reach the vaunted heights of a James Woods, or settle for the family-safe brainwashed Kevin Sorbo level.

Hooray the AV Club is white-splaining to us about who a black man can work for…how predictable.

I saw that header image and thought, “Tunde Adebimpe from TV on the Radio got a Fox show? And he used to be on Gray’s Anatomy?”

So Washington is a conservative asshole instead of just an asshole. Also what is with the image? I want some context around this thing. Was the lights too bright at wherever this was taken? Was this just the one good photo, the one bad photo? Does he want to be “older Farrell”? There is a lot happening in this image.

I guess this marks the moment the AV Club gave up any semblance of pretending not to be pure clickbait trash. This headline is embarrassing.
