I’ve never understood the hate for the Terminator sequels.Genesys isn’t great but is super watchable and absolutely batshit nuts. It’s way better the second time, especially knowing it doesn’t go anywhere.Also, Dark Fate was great, though I’d argue it didn’t have enough Arnold.
It’s unfortunate because I’d argue there were kernels of good ideas in each of the attempts. But they lacked the heart/humanity that was just as important to the story as the action. And even from an action standpoint, the execution just wasn’t there. A memorable scene can salvage any past-their-prime franchises, but its crazy that those bad Terminator sequels didn’t seem to have any.

Arnold Schwarzenegger demonstrates modicum of self-awareness.

Oh, I’d say the truck chase in T3 is up there. Dark Fate’s airplane fight was pretty good, too. But otherwise, yeah.
