Proving that lightning in fact strikes more than twice, USA handed out cancellations to not one, not two, but three of its original series today, an almost unprecedented move for a network whose shows all seem to have been airing for an eternity. Quirky, soapy cop procedural Common Law and quirky, soapy political drama miniseries Political Animals were not renewed after their freshman seasons while quirky, soapy legal procedural Fairly Legal got the axe after its second season. That leaves behind only shows like Psych, White Collar, and Suits to fill the quirky procedural void in USA’s schedule.
