Because after making four movies with Lars von Trier, an alien invasion should be positively relaxing, The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Charlotte Gainsbourg is in talks for a role in Roland Emmerich’s blockbuster sequel Independence Day 2. Gainsbourg will star opposite Liam Hemsworth, Survivor’s Remorse star Jessie Usher, and Jeff Goldblum, reprising his role as the super-smart scientist guy who also wears sunglasses that Goldblum played throughout the ’90s.
