Connecticut Gets State Punk Song?

Aux Features Newswire

According to punknews.org, Connecticut is considering legislation that will give the state an official punk-rock song. The ditty in question is Punkestra's "Connecticut Fun," a watered-down, Ramones-y, pro-Connecticut tune that originally appeared on the 1983 hardcore compilation also titled Connecticut Fun. Punkestra was an ad hoc amalgam of the other groups on the record, which means it's entirely probable that a young Moby—whose old band Vatican Commandos appears on the comp—played on the would-be anthem.
