I wonder what that critic was thinking? I wasn’t happy about his Marvel comments but even I know Scorsese is one of the great ones. I remember when Chris Farley (RIP) was on Letterman, he told a story about losing his NBC security ID badge when Letterman was still at NBC, and being scared to death about it because he thought he was going to have to report to Letterman’s office to explain himself.I always imagine, in a similar fashion, that whenever Criterion adds a new film to their collection, someone has to report to Martin Scorsese and get his approval first.
