Fan goes onstage with Gorillaz, says “I’m tripping balls right now”

A lot of people are pretty psyched about the Gorillaz tour that’s currently going on, and rightly so—they’re set to release Humanz, their first new album in six years on April 28, and they’re currently on their first North American tour in seven years. It’s a pretty big deal, is our point. So much so that Damon Albarn even invited a fan up onstage with the group during a performance of “Clint Eastwood.” Most people would be gobsmacked by the invitation, but it wasn’t exactly nerves that were throwing this person off—apparently, they were in the middle of “tripping balls.”

Ball tripping notwithstanding, Albarn launched into the track off 2001’s Gorillaz, kind of nudging his new “bandmate” along as Russel Hobbs’ rap played. The fan ended up posing in shades and continuing to trip balls, dropping a line here and there. Basically, doing all the things you would do at a Gorillaz concert.
