Britain's Telegraph has a rundown of some new superhero movies either on their way or stuck in that Negative Zone of preproduction. Besides all the usual culprits — Robert Downey, Jr.'s Iron Man, Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, the now Joss Whedon-less Wonder Woman — are some weird rumors like Mark Wahlberg as G.I. Joe and Ashton Kutcher as Flash Gordon.
Of course, the suckiest news comes from Marvel's Ari Arad, who, in the wake of Ghost Rider's runaway success, seems intent on foisting every second-tier hero in the Marvel Universe on the movie-going public, including The Black Widow, The Sub-Mariner, Nick Fury, and Luke Cage. Not to be undersold, DC still has big-screen plans for the JLA as well as… Martian Manhunter? Woah. Maybe Zack Snyder can 300-ify MM after making a mockery of Watchmen.
