Hear two tracks from one of Pavement's earliest shows

Pavement’s members played in several other bands like Bag O’ Bones and Lake Speed before the official formation of the group, but the earliest lineup that could be called Pavement (the one that recorded the original Slay Tracks EP) played one of its first shows in 1989 on KDVS in Davis, California. Check out the early renditions of “Mellow Jazz Docent” and “Home,” both of which eventually made it onto 1991’s Perfect Sound Forever EP. [via Consequence Of Sound]
