Here’s how The Good Fight’s explosive title sequence came to life

The Good Fight—along with being a daring, complex legal drama—has one of the best, attention-grabbing opening credit sequences on television. We recently spoke with Barnstorm VFX—the Burbank effects studio responsible for creating the sequence—about how they pulled it off.

Not gonna lie, that was *highly* uninformative.

I always liked the credit sequence and was excited to see some behind the scenes info on how they did the explosions/etc…. even something as simple as like “We had to blow up 50 gavels before we got it right” would have been better than this.  No fault of the people being interviewed though.  They made a great title sequence.

I think this sequence has gotten better and better over the three seasons, due in no small part to David Buckley’s extraordinary orchestration of the theme music.  The third season punchline of the entire set being destroyed makes me giddy every time I see it – and I’m sorry that the viewers who are seeing the show for the first time this summer on CBS won’t be seeing the full sequence (they’ve had to cut about 15 minutes from each All Access episode, and the titles were the first to go).

I love this show, but I hate how long this sequence is. It looks cool, but there’s zero chance I’m going to sit through it.

Oh man, I could not disagree more. I enjoy this sequence fully every time. Especially the exploding TVs with Trump and Putin. I like to stretch out my hands as if I’m exploding them telekenetically. It’s cathartic af.

“..a daring, complex legal drama..” thaaaat you don’t cover or review. But duck tales, whoo boy, at least that’s covered; phew eh?Too salty? :-)Edit: to be fair they’ve reviewed a couple of episodes this season, but still, it’s a blistering show worth more column inches.

You guys couldn’t edit out the guy on the right? He literally just sits there and says nothing.

I Love the title sequence but I always skip it because it’s 10 times louder than the rest of the show. Not to mention, it’s like 60 or 70 seconds long, that’s a pretty long time. It’s incredible that they got to blow a bunch of stuff up but this interview is pretty worthless. He basically said “I had an idea and gave it to them and that’s where the title sequence came from”. Like we didn’t already know that.
