Cinderella / Young Frankenstein Graphic: Amazon Studios / 20th Century Fox

The dog days of summer are officially here. The days are getting shorter, the nights are getting cooler, and *gasp* we’re running out of content to stream. Summer streaming happens so fast. But fear not. It’s not Halloween quite yet, so you can stop chattering your teeth and chewing your fingernails just yet. There’s still plenty of content to enjoy, including classics like Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing and Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein and new releases, like the Camilla Cabella-led Cinderella re-imagining. Plus, you can finally catch up on that Coolio subplot from the director’s cut of Daredevil that you’ve been putting off for nearly two decades.

While it’s a bit overlong, Need for Speed is actually a pretty decent watch if you like practical driving stunts. The first race in particular is also really well constructed. In the theater the sound of the engines was genital rattling.

  • noturtles-av says:

Is anyone still Hungry for those Games? The A-Team (2010) is worth re-watching, though.

    • shadowplay-av says:

I never bothered with the second part of the Hunger Games finale. Stupid Harry Potter effect of studios trying to get more money by splitting the final chapter into two parts. Well, they didn’t get me!Which A-Team to watch? The Theatrical or the Extended version?

    • kjordan3742-av says:

Oh, I didn’t see A-TEAM listed! What’s the release date?

    • plantsdaily-av says:

The A-Team movie started working once they started flying a tank. I don’t think the first half, with the Origin Story[tm], added anything to it. The watcher is here for the crazy plan, not the backstory.

  • shadowplay-av says:

Holy Crap! That Jackie Chan/Jaden Smith Karate Kid is from 2010?! Where does time go…?

  • fadedmaps-av says:

I’d much rather catch up on that Coolio subplot from the director’s cut of Leprechaun in the Hood that I’ve been putting off for nearly two decades.

  • coatituesday-av says:

I like that they have the 2003 Daredevil AND the 2003 director’s cut of Daredevil. That’s probably a good 5 hours I’ll free up by not watching either.

  • jodyjm13-av says:

Death at a FuneralOh?(2010)Oh.Also, why withhold the release year of Robin Hood? I’m guessing it’s the 2018 version, but there’s been so many movies with that title that there’s a fair number of candidates.Anyway, out of all these titles there’s one that stands out like a diamond in a litter box. Gotta make room in my schedule for streaming Alpha and Omega 3: The Great Wolf Games.
