It’s sex, drugs, and breaking glass in Love’s season 2 trailer

Today, on this most love-filled of days, Netflix released its trailer for season two of the cringe-inducing, utterly uncomfortable, all-too-real anti-rom-com Love, starring Gillian Jacobs and Paul Rust. Season one ended with Jacobs’ unhinged Mickey confessing to Rust’s geeky Gus that she was a sex addict, and the season two trailer finds her getting some help in a group meeting—sort of. “I’m trying to keep taking things slowly,” Mickey tells the group, as the trailer cuts to her and Gus having sex in a car, then Mickey smashing an expensive crystal bowl at a party. Nonetheless, it looks like the focus of season two will be the two of them trying to make their relationship work, no matter how bad of an idea that seems.

Meanwhile, Mickey seems to be rubbing off (not just rubbing one out) on Gus, who’s seen taking mushrooms and snorting something up his nose. Claudia O’Doherty, who we loved in season one of Love, is back as Mickey’s roommate, Bertie. Tracie Thoms, Bobby Lee, Jordan Rock, and Rich Sommer also return, and we even spy Daniel Stern in there sharing a beer with our unpredictable female protagonist.

The series, created by Judd Apatow, Lesley Arfin, and Rust, was recently renewed for a third season. Season two of Love premieres on Netflix on March 10.
