The Cannibal In The Jungle (Animal Planet, 9 p.m.): Ahhh, summer television. We missed and feared you so much. Tonight, Animal Planet brings us the perfect example by kicking off “Monster Week” with its original telefilm The Cannibal In The Jungle, in which “an American scientist is charged with killing and eating two colleagues in Indonesia in 1977, but claims a mysterious, prehistoric creature is responsible for their deaths, which leads to future media investigations that could validate his story.” Bless.
