Libertines Reunite

Aux Features Newswire

As reported by NME, the (sort of) legendary Libertines have (kind of) reunited. Last night at a show in London, headliner Pete Doherty (a.k.a. Mr. Kate Moss-to-be) was joined onstage by his estranged songwriting partner Carl Barat. The Kerouac and Cassady (or is that the Harold and Kumar?) of British garage-pop then ran through a hefty set of Libertines tunes. Both, of course, have been busy with surprisingly decent projects since The Libertines split in 2004: Doherty with Babyshambles and Barat with Dirty Pretty Things. No word yet on future reunions, or whether they're planning on including the other two Libertines dudes next time around.
