In a shocking twist, MTV’s newest show isn’t hosted by a former BMX star. Deliciousness, a foodie spin-off of Rob Dyrdek’s Ridiculousness, debuts in December with Saved By The Bell’s Tiffani (Amber) Thiessen tapped to host.

Thiessen, a cookbook author and former Cooking Channel host, leads a panel of guests that includes The Office’s Angela Kinsey, Basic To Bougie’s Tim Chantarangsu, and Kel Mitchell, all of whom are tasked with commenting on viral clips of “food blunders” and other culinary disasters. Watch a teaser for the series below.

Deliciousness premieres on December 14 with a weeklong holiday-themed special event. If you miss it, fear not. We assume that, like Ridiculousness, it will be replayed over and over (and over and over) again.

Ridiculousness is ALWAYS on yet I don’t think I’ve ever met a person that says they watched Ridiculousness

The ridiculousness about Ridiculousness is that it never loses its ridiculousness. I watched it once. The host is a guy in his 40s who wears really big sweatshirts and baseball hats.

My parents, who are in their 60’s, were dedicated viewers until there was apparently an episode that was simply “Too gross” that put them off the series. Also, Dad figured out he could just watch Russian dashcam footage on Youtube and cut out the middleman (Seriously, half of every episode of Ridiculousness is just clips you can immediately clock as “This was filmed in Russia”  and just as immediately remind you “Russia is famously bad, as a country.”)

    That sounds really awful.

Kel’s had a good thing going on Nickelodeon for years and years and years so it’s good to see him branching out.

Hearing about a new MTV show is like hearing about a celebrity you long assumed was dead. I am not surprised they have a new show I am surprised they still exist. Here is a picture of Bob Barker who is about the same age as MTV and about as relevant.

I’m not sure how things are, but as of 5-10 years ago MTV was absolutely KILLING IT in 18-34 (and probably younger) ratings. It was basically the only channel that teenagers watched. Not sure how that has held up in the Instagram / TikTok era.

I always found Ridiculousness to be “assholes being assholes while watching YouTube.” Kel and Office Lady strike me as being above this kind of thing.

I’m sorry. This is my fault. I gazed in to the abyss so long that it gazed back.

… hosted by “a former BMX star”?I don’t really care either way, but as a journalist you could at least do your due diligence, Randall. Rob Dyrdek was a professional skateboarder
