Norman Reedus is ready to kick-start a Ghost Rider reboot

Norman Reedus is spending part of his The Walking Dead hiatus stumping for his other AMC show, Ride With Norman Reedus. The six-episode reality series features Reedus traveling around America with a buddy to visit the usual biker haunts, like “bike shops, tattoo parlors, bars, and restaurants frequented by chopper enthusiasts.” He’ll have a rotating lineup of artists, actors, and bikers to give him company on the road and share gas-station sushi with. So fans can check out Reedus’ travelogue while they wait to learn whether Daryl gets up close and personal with Lucille, or they can do what the actor’s doing and dream-cast him in reboots—namely, Ghost Rider.

Reedus is no stranger to comic-book adaptations, having played Scud in Blade II. And while he thinks Nicolas Cage acquitted himself admirably in his two Ghost Rider films, there’s no denying that Reedus would fit right into the film’s milieu. When asked point blank about appearing in a reboot, Reedus said “Hell yeah. It would be a blast. Do I get a skull face that’s on fire and all that stuff? Fuck yeah. I’m down.” And this isn’t all wishful thinking or bored vacation musing—a Ghost Rider reboot is entirely plausible, thanks to Hollywood’s raging reboot fever, and the fact that the rights to the property have returned to Marvel. We’re not opposed to the idea, especially if they find a way to bring back Donal Logue.
