Oh god, what is wrong with this Princess Diana memorial

Diana, Princess Of Wales, is remembered most for her extensive charity work, highly publicized divorce from Prince Charles, and untimely death at the age of 36. A Chesterfield, England memorial, constructed entirely from flowers and malice, presents a different view of the late Diana—one whose image endures not as royal inspiration, but pure nightmare.

The Chesterfield Diana’s neon-smeared grin, hooded eyes, and Thatcherite frizz-fro have attracted plenty of attention. Naturally, none of it is exactly positive.

Its makers may not be seeing the sort of response they hoped for, but, in creating a new favorite in horrendous British memorials, the people of Chesterfield may have inadvertently found a way to keep Diana alive for the next generation: haunting their goddamned dreams.
