Amy Schumer, Regina Hall, and Wanda Sykes will reportedly host the Oscars this year
The 2022 Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 27 at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre
Aux News Wanda SykesThis year, the Oscars will have three hosts. After waiting a while to see who the Academy would pick, we reportedly have the lucky trio finally: Amy Schumer, Regina Hall, and Wanda Sykes.
Variety writes that the three comedians will be the “only emcees in the mix for the March awards show, despite several scenarios that telecast creatives have been weighing” and that the Oscars producer Will Packer “has been in meetings for weeks trying to find the right recipe for Hollywood’s biggest night.”
The publication also reports that before settling on just Schumer, Hall, and Sykes, the producer was considering bringing in a different pair of hosts every hour. The list of celebrities who were almost picked for hosting duties includes Jon Hamm, who reportedly “exited talks over the weekend.”
Despite Variety’s reports, the hosts haven’t officially been confirmed yet. The proper announcement will come on Tuesday, February 15 on Good Morning America. However, Schumer seemingly confirmed the news with an Instagram post captioned “Big fun news comin’.” The post also featured an assortment of images of Schumer herself, including one of her as a child holding a star-shaped balloon that says “A star is born!” and a picture from a grade school talent show.
Sykes and Hall have remained mum on social media for now, though.
The 2022 Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 27 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. The most coveted award, Best Picture, has an eclectic list of nominated titles: CODA, Licorice Pizza, West Side Story, Belfast, Drive My Car, Don’t Look Up, Dune, King Richard, Nightmare Alley, and Power Of The Dog. The ceremony will air on ABC and will be available to stream on fuboTV.
[Updated, February 15] : On Good Morning America, it was confirmed that Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer, and Regina Hall will be the hosts at the 2022 Grammys.

Why not just get Amy to do Regina and Wanda’s material and save themselves a couple bucks?
I was actually thinking just let Wanda do it solo.
Do Oscar hosts get paid? I thought it was one of those honorary roles one would just be too honored not to accept. No? Am I naive? Geez, I even live in L.A.
Seen Kyle?
Did you mean to suggest that they keep the one white woman and fire the two black women?
It was a joke about Schumer’s reputation for stealing jokes from other comedians. Do you really not realize that?
Maybe there was a different way to frame it in that case
Maybe you shouldn’t be giving comedy advice when you’ve literally never made a joke or said anything funny here
Maybe you can go bully someone else to make you feel like a big man
Accusations of bullying are rich coming from you.
Who have I bullied?
I’d love to see some Patrice O’Neal material on the Oscars!
Maybe we can have some tedious clown explain what a genius he was despite wasting his life hanging around human garbage and spewing nonsense.
Barf
It was a joke about how Amy Schumer steals jokes.
There were better jokes to make about that
A+ reference.
Wanda only, please. No need for anyone else to spoil her groove. We get another woman host but they’re all expected to share it. Stop messing around, academy.
While I agree with you, this will certainly be the lowest rated telecast in the shows history(following the recent trend). Wanda’s talents don’t deserve that.
What do they deserve? What’s the best thing she’d been in?
Crank Yankers
I haven’t watched it for 20 years now. I might watch if she hosts. I’d prefer if she just told them to shove it.
What’s the thinking behind three hosts? The host mostly just does the opening monologue and then some sporadic appearances throughout. It’s not really a job for multiple people. Just pick one . (I’d personally go with Sykes, but either of these three would be fine.) They’re still trying too hard to “fix” the Oscars and just making it more awkward.
I like all of these people individually, but this is going to be a trainwreck.
Dad, what’s “the oscars”?
I think hitting F5 on twitter during the oscars might be more entertaining than this.
Why not just Regina Hall? She’s so funny and pretty.
Regina Hall is the best. I’d be happy with her and Wanda Sykes.
Two out of three ain’t bad, unless the third is someone like Amy Schumer.
She can be the meat to my loaf anytime!
I think it’s great that they went with a woman. The women — all very funny — is even better. Let’s hope for some good bits and chemistry.
its always fun to watch redditors lose their mind any time Amy Schumer is mentioned.
I like to think of myself as someone who tries to look on the bright side, so I will say this:Two out of three ain’t bad!
no
ah I can hear the bitching from people who don’t/won’t watch this anyway, roaring already.
This entire thread …
Wanda has more talent in her left tit than those other broads have in their entire bodies
RELEASE THE TALENT!
I too enjoy building women up by shitting on other women
It’s just a coincidence they’re all women. The other day I was saying Lisa Kudrow’s left tit has more talent than the other five Friends, and they’re 60% male
Amy Schumer is still around? I don’t mean that as a slam, I genuinely can’t recall anything after I Feel Pretty bombed and Inside Amy Schumer ended.
She was in a movie called The Humans (one of those A24 horror flicks, haven’t seen it, but it looks good. Came out during the pandemic), and has a show on Hulu called Life and Beth, don’t have Hulu, so can’t say whether it’s good or not.
You definitely have not seen it because its not a horror film at all – its based off of a Tony winning play.
The trailer made it look like there might be something spooky going on, and it was A24, so that’s where my mind went. I do want to see it though, I like all the actors in it.
A scary Tony award winning play?
She is admittedly overshadowed by Michael Cera’s controversial patchy beard.
She had a baby with a chef, the pregnancy of which was documented pretty thoroughly. Then she and her husband hosted a pretty funny cooking show where she doesn’t do shit (well, except eat), and he tries as hard as he can to be patient with her.
Good choices! I like all three and each has a very different persona. It’s not possible to prevent a 3+ hour ceremony from dragging at times, but the baton-passing approach should help.
Cue jokes about needing two POCs and a white woman to fill one white straight man’s shoes.
Why aren’t women allowed to host by themselves?
