Though it isn’t timed well enough that buyers will have an opportunity to run around in an authentic Spider-Man costume this Halloween, movie memorabilia auction house The Prop Store is about to sell off a big collection of film costumes and props that are absolutely perfect for would-be Planet Hollywood franchisees or ultra-wealthy cosplayers to enjoy.

This year’s Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction includes a huge list of noteworthy stuff, all set to go up for sale over three days in November after a preview event runs from October 12th to November 11th in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.

A few of the best items from the “over 1,000" lots on offer are a stormtrooper helmet from Return Of The Jedi—expected to go for between $138,000 to $207,000—and Marty McFly’s hoverboard from Back To The Future Part II, which is estimated to sell for $82,800-$110,400. Those who want to wear costumes that reasonable people would prefer be kept behind glass can bid on one of Sean Connery’s Bond suits from You Only Live Twice ($69,000-$96,600), a Batman costume from Batman Forever ($55,200-$96,600), a Spider-Man suit from Spider-Man 3 ($41,400-$69,000), or, for a way-too-expensive Christmas present, one of Will Ferrell’s Buddy The Elf costumes from Elf ($27,600-$41,400).

There’s also a “full-size T-800 endoskeleton” from Terminator 2 ($82,800-$110,400) and items that Prop Store optimistically calls “suitable for fans with a variety of budgets,” like “Jordan Belfort’s (Leonardo DiCaprio) Lamborghini License Plate from The Wolf Of Wall Street,” which is expected to sell for $1,104.

Window shoppers can tour a virtual exhibit of the items through an interactive website gallery showing off some of the lots. (Suggested tagline: “So immersive, you can almost smell the celebrity sweat!”)

The Prop Store’s auction is taking proxy bids starting October 12th, holding its Hertfordshire preview from October 12th to November 11th, and opening up bidding for three days beginning on November 9th.

…Return Of The Jedi…Back To The Future Part II…Batman Forever…Spider-Man 3…Eh, never mind.

So, from the photo I’d pay $55,200-$96,600 for a Batman Forever batsuit, but would have to INSTALL NIPPLES ON MY OWN to make it Batman & Robin compliant? Hard pass! So, so hard.

Auction houses are such scams. The % they add on to any purchase is complete BS. Like suppose I would buy this spider man 3 uniform…and it was 60k..well after the seller’s premium or whatever they call it…it would be like 85k. A great deal at 60 but not at 85.

The greatest get I ever got at a celebrity option was the drummer from Def Leppard’s arm.

That’s it, that’s the whole joke.

I need an explanation for how a stormtrooper helmet from RotJ is worth more than double any of those suits.

    • yellowfoot-av says:

It comes with the stormtrooper’s head in it.

The suits are from terrible, terrible movies. I’m surprised anybody would pay that much for any of this.Except maybe the Bond one, but I have not seen it, oldass action movies are ridiculous. Plus the suit is probably damaged by time.

The helmet is a fucking star wars prop helmet. I’d assume tech b-millionaires would be all over it. I would if I could ^^
Those suits tho ? hell no lol.

      • mackyart-av says:

Sure, I get that. Terrible movies, but I’d expect suits like that Batman and Spider-Man costume fetching more because of the idea that a rich guy would love the idea of owning a wearable superhero costume from a movie franchise. Besides, it’s one helmet from a random trooper, while a popular movie star playing Bruce Wayne or Peter Parker wore the full body suit.
Stormtrooper helmets feel like a dime a dozen. We’ve seen so many of those. I hate that Batman movie and I didn’t even bother watching Spider-Man 3, but I would certainly enjoy looking at the production design of a suit encased in glass.

I get your point, but like …
          Watch Spider-Man 3.
Then come back to me on what you would say to someone you meet telling you they dropped 100k on one of the suits from that movie.

My answer would probably involve some dance moves … 😀

          • mackyart-av says:

I’ll have to respectfully decline 🙂 I’ve seen the clips. The Batman movie for the suit is garbage too, but they “look” good. Now I’m wondering if Batman and Robin suits will fetch higher prices because of the notoriety.
