Ronin moves forward

Frank Miller's thoroughly kick-ass comic book Ronin–no relation to the De Niro flick–is one step closer to the big screen, according to hollywoodreporter.com. The dystopian samurai story almost got the popcorn treatment in the late '90s (with Darren Aronofsky in the chair… ah, if only), long before Miller creations like Sin City, 300, and Elektra swamped the multiplexes.

The potentially bad news? Sylvain White (I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer, Stomp The Yard) has been tapped to direct.
