The Wrap reports that Zach Lipovsky has been tapped to direct Legendary Digital’s upcoming Dead Rising movie—basically a lateral move from his last gig directing Leprechaun: Origins. It may seem like an impossible task to follow the summer’s most hotly anticipated movie with a mere video game adaptation, but Lipovsky’s experience working in the pressure cooker of reality television should give him the poise and knowledge of well-worn tropes he needs to make zombies as terrifying as the legendary Irish creatures who have haunted our collective nightmares since 1993. And if all else fails, it would probably be pretty funny to kill zombies with a bong.
