Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Tuesday, December 14. All times are Eastern.

Top pick

The Flash (The CW, 8 p.m.): The show finally wraps up its five-part “Armageddon” arc, a timeline-traversing delight that has taken only the kind of twists and turns a time-traveling Flash can provide. Scott Von Doviak really enjoyed the last installment: After three episodes of throat-clearing, ‘Armageddon’ finally achieves the giddy velocity of the best crossover episodes, at least in spurts. It’s enough to make one wonder why season eight and this five-part event didn’t start here: with Barry learning the timeline has been altered, resulting in Eobard Thawne taking his place as both the Flash and the love of Iris’ life.” This is the last episode we’ll get in 2021. The Flash will return on Wednesday, March 9.

Season’s streamings

Ghosts Of Christmas Past (Lifetime, 8 p.m.): When a fortune teller warns a woman she must make amends for her past, the serial dating app “ghoster” sets out to track down all the men she ignored before Christmas day.

A Christmas Stray (OWN, 8 p.m.): On Christmas Eve, a corporate executive is stranded in a small town after a dog runs him off the road, and winds up falling for both the dog and the veterinarian who helps them out.

Wild card

Grand Crew (NBC, 8 p.m., series premiere): Phil Augusta Jackson, a writer on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Insecure, is the creator of this Los Angeles based comedy about a group of friends who bond at a wine bar. Nicole Byer, Carl Tart, Echo Kellum, Justin Cunningham, Aaron Jennings, and Grasie Mercedes star. We’ve got all the typical rom-com tropes in one show: a divorcé, a hopeless romantic, a relieved married person, a serial dater, a workaholic, and “Sherm, a low-key genius who plays the dating odds.” Tonight, you can get a two-episode sneak peak before the series moves to its timeslot on January 4.

I really enjoyed Part 4 of the crossover, especially after the weak preceding episodes. I hope it finishes strong.

March?! Well, there goes my interest for season 8… This crossover has already been a big let down for me… They had me sooo hyped for seeing all those characters I didn’t expect to see again, but it’s clear this crossover still suffers from covid restrictions, and it’s extremely obvious, cause for 4 weeks we’ve barely seen any of the characters in an actual group. They brought back each guest star for one episode so far, Ray is by the far most satisfying so far. Black Lightning was wasted, and Ryan Choi so far is only in a Reverse-Flashpoint world. So unless he and Ray actually get to spend time on screen in episode 5, it’s not looking like he’ll be inheriting the Atom mantle for now. And worst of all, Mia is only in the last episode. Who was literally who I was MOST excited to see… They wasted the first 2 episodes on filler villain of the week shit, and episode 3 failed to move the plot forward enough. Episode 4 is where it finally got going. After a freaking month. So disappointed. If they aired each episode at once, or I’ve the course of only 5 days like normal crossovers, this would have been way more forgivable for me. But making me wait a month for shit to get going is just torture. And now they are taking a break until March?! Fuck. I’m so tired of the CW and their constantly ruining the pacing and hype for shows with huge several month breaks. This Lis literally just the same as what happened to Superman & Lois, 5 episodes, then several months off air. It will absolutely have an impact on the shows already unimpressive ratings. Even a show as fresh, well produced and great as Superman & Lois had a pretty notable decline in viewership cause they went on break after only 5 episodes aired and our the in arguably worse Supergirl in it’s place. I won’t be shocked if this DOES end up being the last season of the Flash, cause at this point, the ratings are declining every season, and this break WILL hurt the already mediocre ratings. Don’t be surprised if in 4 months people don’t show up and are no longer excited for this seasonI’m already losing interesr every weke I wait for this crossover to end. That I’ll be waiting months for episode 6 has totally killed whatever little hype I had left for it. I’ll probably still watch, but it won’t be as excited as I hoped to be.

Gonna chime in here on Nancy Drew. Last week’s episode was excellent. The emotional stakes were high, the acting was fantastic, and I really enjoy the way the mystery is twisting and turning. Having to wait until January is pure torture.
