Vampire Weekend has released a new music video for its lead single, “Harmony Hall.” In between shots of a green, slithering snake and singer Ezra Koenig’s artsy pancakes are ones that evoke the Live and Blink-182 videos of yesteryear, with the band dancing like dweebs while singing into a wide-angle lens. Also, Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes and Jonah Hill are there, because, as we well know by now, Vampire Weekend are friends with all the cool people.
“Harmony Hall” is the lead single from the band’s forthcoming Father Of The Bride, which is due out this spring. Koenig has said that the band plans to drop two new tracks every month until its release, and (checks watch) we’d say we’re about due for some.
Correction: An early version of this article stated that Jonah Hill directed the video. Emmett Malloy directed the video, while Hill just cameos near the end. Hill, however, did direct another video from the band that will be released in the future. We regret the error.

As per the YouTube video description, Emmett Malloy directed this video. Not Jonah Hill.
Actually, it’s directed by Emmett Malloy, Jonah Hill only pops up in the video.
This video was directed by Emmett Malloy, not Jonah Hill.
This song sounds like Paul Simon and those pancakes are overcooked.
It reminds me of Primal Scream meets You Can’t Always Get What You Want.
Randall.. how did you manage to botch this article up that bad? Being a writer means doing at least a modicum of investigation on what you’re writing about.. A quick view of the youtube description is all you needed.
