Vince Staples announces his first headlining North American tour

Aux Features Music

Rapper Vince Staples has already established that he’s not a particularly big fan of Spotify, but apparently one thing that he is a fan of is Wes Anderson’s The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou. That’s based on the tour announcement he just posted on Twitter, at least, which features an image of Staples and opener Kilo Kish decked out in Team Zissou outfits and heroically riding a dinghy off to some adventures—presumably ones involving colorful sea creatures and hip-hop.

Zissou-related fun aside, this announcement is also notable for being Staples’ first major headlining tour across North America. He’ll be touring in support of Prima Donna, the new EP he released over the summer, as well as Summertime ‘06, his debut album from 2015 (and one of The A.V. Club’s best albums of that year).

The full list of tour dates is below, and you can find more information at Staples’ website.
