Even as a writers’ strike begins to grind Hollywood to a halt, studios are still making plans for the future, unveiling projects and the stars that will, hopefully, one day be able to work on them. While the strike looks like it could go on for quite a while, optimistically, a handful of new announcements show that one day TV shows and movies will be back in production, with a more fair contract and with better treatment of everyone on set.

“Hamnet” sounds like if Shakespeare did a detective show.
    “Book ‘em, Hammo!”

Crooks: “Damn it! It’s Hamnet!”But, really, that book was beautiful.

Then Hamnet became self-aware. They tried to shut it down but it was too late. Now Snowball and Napoleon rule over all of us.

guy ritchie must be an absolute delight to work with and work for. it does seem like the gentlemen and wrath of man both turned a decent profit, but he’s had two flops this year alone. i guess he’s made more money than he’s lost.

Aren’t all his movies either critical or commercial flops? I thought that was kind of his thing. I see his name and I think “This movie is going to be subpar in some way.” That and “Madonna.”The Man from U.N.C.L.E. was okay.

Pascal is edging toward Cumberpratt territory. As in, “Damn, how many yachts does this guy have to pay off?”

Witchboard remake, an adaptation of the classic 1986 supernatural horror flickIs it a classic? I’m honestly wondering, because I don’t remember it’s release, cult status, or really anything at all about it. ETA: I just looked it up and I think Tawny Kitaen on the VHS cover looks kind of familiar. I’m sure my junior high self walked past it multiple times at the video store back in the late ‘80s.
